New on the Emissary Authors Podcast

In this episode of the Emissary Authors Podcast, Aaron Walker, an experienced entrepreneur, author, and mentor, shares his unique journey of becoming an author and the benefits it brought. Aaron discusses his initial hesitation to write a book, the considerable effort and time it took, and the tangible returns it brought: new coaching clients and speaking engagements, all from sharing his story in his book. Aaron emphasizes viewing authorship as a platform to leave a legacy and inspire others with one’s individual narrative and experiences, instead of just a commercial endeavor. He advocates for authors to write authentically and acknowledge that their personal story is essential for providing hope and encouragement to readers.

The Hope of War by Larry Cripps

Sometimes, the greatest (and only) thing we can offer is ourselves. When Larry Cripps was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he had little idea of what lay in store for him and his future comrades, both on and off the battlefield.

At the risk of his own life, in exchange for a future he couldn’t imagine, Larry began a journey that would go much further than the jungles of Southeast Asia, the deserts of the Middle East, or anywhere else he deployed in service of his country. Progressing from armored cavalry to the Navy Chaplain Corps, Larry discovered that the wildest war zones of all were the hearts and minds of the service members he counseled and cared for.
